2024/2025 OBOA Board of Directors (extended temporarily)

UPDATE AS OF July 17, 2025

At the Hood River Inn for the 2025 OBOA Annual Meeting, events occurred that changed the current composition of the OBOA Board of Directors. The OBOA President, Melissa Gitt, resigned and Director-at-Large, Kimberlee McArthur, also resigned her board position, both effective immediately the morning of July 17, 2025. OBOA is devastated by these resignations.

Additionally on July 17, 2025, three candidates on the current ballot also withdrew their names from consideration for board candidacy for the 2025/2026 elective year. The typical election process that takes place at the OBOA Annual Meeting has now been postponed.

Per OBOA attorneys' guidance, the election portion of the Annual Meeting will be postponed, and the association will start a new process over of the Nomination of Officers and Directors, as outlined in OBOA Bylaws, Article XI, Section I. The nominations and election process will now re-occur over the next 60-90 days as outlined in this section. The following individuals remain in their board positions until the new election process takes place, with the exception of the President-Elect automatically moving to President. Per OBOA Bylaws, Article IV, Section V Vacancies – "A vacancy in the office of the President shall be filled by the President-Elect." Additional details will be sent to all OBOA members via email.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the OBOA office – email or call 503.691.6262.

The Oregon Building Officials Association is governed by a group of volunteer leaders and professionals from the building safety industry. All individuals serve for an elective cycle beginning at the OBOA Annual Meeting through the next year's OBOA Annual Meeting.
