2019 Oregon Commercial Energy Code Overview

Tuesday August 18 and Thursday, August 20
9 am - 12 pm (each day)

This is a 2-day class (one registration per person) -- simply split in half for easier online attendance. Attendees must participate in both sessions to earn continuing education credit (CEUs).

Presented by a Panel of Experts: Blake Shelide, PE, Facilities Engineer, Oregon Department of Energy; Nick O’Neil, PE – Energy 350, Director of Research & Evaluation, Energy 350; Tony Adams, LC - National Lighting Manager, Evergreen Consulting Group; and Meg Waltner, PE, Senior Engineer, Energy 350

About this presentation: This session will be split over two days. It will provide an overview of Oregon energy code history and recent energy code policy developments. Attendees will learn about the requirements of the recently adopted 2019 Oregon Energy Code (based on ASHRAE 90.1-2016), including the envelope, mechanical, and electrical requirements, with a focus on what has changed in the last code cycle. Key energy efficiency provisions will be highlighted in a discussion-based, instructor-led format. Code compliance pathways will be discussed, and resources for additional information will be provided. This session is sponsored by Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA).
