Earn ICC CEUs at the ABM and Pre-ABM Workshop

OBOA is a proud to be part of the International Code Council Preferred Provider Program (ICC PPP) network. All OBOA programs offer ICC Preferred Provider approved continuing education credit (CEUs). Attend our popular and high-quality programs to log hours for application or renewal of your ICC certifications. The use of Preferred Provider training is required as a condition of all certification renewals, so that classes you take through OBOA directly enhance your professional development and career growth. ICC certificate holders must obtain a specified number of CEUs every three years in order to maintain their certifications and a portion of these CEUs must be obtained through Preferred Provider or ICC training. OBOA offers an extensive year-round schedule of events for members and colleagues to earn their CEUs.

OBOA provides certificates of attendance to those who complete the course and submits rosters of attendance to ICC. Each individual should maintain record of their participation in all CEU programs.

Students — Valuable Scholarship Opportunity! One of OBOA's priorities as an organization is to support students enrolled in the Building Inspection Technoloy (BIT) programs at Chemeketa Community College and Portland Community College and those pursuing a career in this awesome industry. OBOA offers several opportunities throughout the year for students to attend OBOA trainings and participate in our incredibly valuable professional development opportunities. Our business meetings (quarterly and annual) offer everything -- excellent updates, news, and timely industry information, ICC Approved Provider CEUs (continuing education units) and the in-person networking time that often opens many doors and opportunities through our member jurisdictions. If you are interested in attending the ABM and getting to know more about the profession, please contact OBOA Executive Director, Vicky Danielson in the OBOA office for details.

Support OBOA, Our Members and the Communities they Serve

We hope our vendor partners are able to participate in this great networking event.

The Oregon Building Officials Association (OBOA) is a statewide professional non-profit organization providing exceptional educational and networking opportunities for our 1,100+ member representatives. Our members include building officials, inspectors, plan examiners, permit technicians, engineers, building designers, architects, and contractors. Our Annual Business Meeting (ABM) is the highly anticipated, flagship “must attend” event for code officials and building departments across Oregon and the PNW region.

We expect approximately 100 building safety professionals to attend the popular two-day event – the perfect size to personally meet and greet decision–makers and those with influence, reaching the most jurisdictions in Oregon all in one place. Most attendees will be Building Officials as well as other department leadership (leads, chiefs, etc.). Sponsorships are a great way to spotlight your name and company to the scores of building departments represented at our conference. Sponsorships show your support of OBOA and relationships with our member jurisdictions and their officials and reps. Thank you for considering your participation in our 2025 OBOA ABM!
